Incredible? My thoughts exactly. The Michelberger Hotel by Tom Michelberger himself, would have to be in my top three favourite interiors right now. Housed in a converted factory, set in East Berlin, his initial idea was to obtain an apartment big enough for him and a few friends to live in. Little did he know, what he created would turn out to be so much more..
The interior is fully customised, using locally sourced objects from flea markets—repurposing them in an intriguing and unusual way. The best thing about this place is that it's a designer hotel at hostel rates. I'll let the pictures do the talking.. Pretty sure i might just have to bypass through Berlin on my way to Melbourne in June.
